What is the process of your projects?

Kitchens

Just to give you an idea of our work, our price includes the front & backs of all doors & drawers, all cupboard exteriors, islands, plinths, cornice, pelmets, wine racks, cooker hood areas, display cupboards & kick boards. Your price includes all Farrow & Ball's undercoat & top coat paint costs & all consumables to carry out the work. No other charges will be added to your quote. We degrease, sand, hoover & prep all surfaces. We remove all handles, apply 1 to 2 undercoat's & then up to 3 topcoats of Farrow & Ball modern eggshell paint, which has a 40% sheen and is the only paint Farrow & Ball recommends as tough enough, from their paint range, to paint kitchens.

Furniture

We degrease, sand, hoover & prep all surfaces. We remove all handles, apply 1 to 2 undercoat's & then up to 3 topcoats of Farrow & Ball modern eggshell paint, which has a 40% sheen and is the only paint Farrow & Ball recommends as tough enough, from their paint range, to paint furniture. Your price includes all Farrow & Ball's undercoat & top coat paint costs & all consumables to carry out the work. No other charges will be added to your quote.

What is the finish like with the paint you use?

The spray finish we achieve in each project make your kitchen or furniture look as if it’s straight from a factory, immaculately flat as well as rich in pigmentation. The 40% sheen is perfect for a kitchen as it reflects the light within the room, making the space feel a lot more bigger! The elegance of this finish is also very durable and hard wearing enough for a working kitchen or furniture that is often used.

Help! There’s marks and scruffs - do you do touch ups?

Our work comes with a 12 month chip/knock guarantee. This is for any project we have completed whether that is kitchen and furnitures. Our warranty is a guarantee from us that we are always wanting to perfect our craft and your home.

Roughly how long is each job?

Kitchens

Each job consists of between 3 to 5 days work. The 1st day we remove all your doors & take them to our spray workshop in Manchester & we then paint the rest of your kitchen on site. The doors will be spray painted and paint cured over the following days & refitted on the final day, after we finish the final top coat/s of the rest of your kitchen. We'll then refit your handles, clean up & leave you with a beautifully spray painted kitchen.

Furniture

Each job consists of between 3 to 5 days work. We will come to collect your furniture and take them to our spray workshop in Manchester. The units will be spray painted and paint cured over the following days & delivered when most convenient for you! Leaving you with a stunning spray finish.

Do you only do kitchens and furniture?

At MKP, we love to take on new projects! Though we mainly focus on transforming kitchens and furniture, we like to not limit ourselves and expand our portfolio even more! Feel free to contact us about any projects you would like us to tackle.

Can you paint my high gloss kitchen?

We often get this question - many kitchens specifically are coated in a high gloss plastic finish. It may seem impossible for some but not for us! We have had a lot of experience with high gloss and had no trouble getting a high quality finish on this type of kitchen.
